Alpha Coffee shop is a work service training program that helps young people learn about the rewards of trying through the medium of espresso. “Baristas with a Purpose.” Located at 2010 Magazine St, their hours are 8-4 M-F.
They have a website and there is a Times-Picayune article on NOLA.com.

Thanks so Much for the support! We take pride in being a new member of New Orleans Coffee Family. We would love to partner with other locals who love coffee and want to make a change in the lives of New Orleans youth. We are hosting “Exploration for Change” Coffee and Cake Showcase a fundraiser benefiting our program development this Friday. The event will take place 2010 Magazine Street and will begin at 7pm Friday April 16th. It would be out honor to have other coffee lovers and friends at this event.
